Radicans Dwarf Gardenia
Dwarf Size Brings Gardenia Smell to any Landscape. Same fabulous gardenia fragrance. Works as a low border or container plant, and is adaptable to clay, sand, and loamy soils. Dwarf Radicans Gardenia is a miniature version of a gardenia with all its fragrance and loveliness. Use it as a ground cover, container plant, or in a low border. Let the fragrance from its blooms fill your garden area. You will have plenty of extra flowers to bring indoors. Once established, this hardy variety becomes easy to maintain and is even drought-tolerant. Gardenia radicans thrive in full sun to partial shade and adapt to almost any soil. Plant several for a fragrance that will greet your visitors or enhance your patio. Gets 1 - 2 feet tall and 3 - 4 feet wide when mature. Full sun or part shade.
Planting Instructions - Dig your planting hole twice the diameter of the root
ball. You should dig the hole so that once planted it will
be at the same level in the ground as it was in its container. Before you place it into its hole, you should loosen the
soil around the outside of the root ball. This will help the roots to
spread more easily once it is planted. Place your shrub into the hole. Back-fill the hole with soil and pack it down firmly. Water well to help get rid of air pockets in the soil. Add a layer of mulch to your newly planted shrub. This will help the soil to conserve moisture.
